LASH EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE

To ensure your lash extensions stay beautiful and last as long as possible, it's important to follow these aftercare guidelines:

The First 24-48 Hours

Avoid Water: Keep your lashes dry. Avoid washing your face, swimming, or exposure to steam (including saunas and hot showers) for the first 24-48 hours.

No Touching: Resist the urge to touch or rub your lashes. This allows the adhesive to properly bond.

Avoid Makeup Refrain from applying any eye makeup or using makeup removers near your lashes during this period.

Daily Maintenance

Gentle Cleaning: Clean your lashes daily with a lash cleanser. Use a clean, soft brush or your fingertips to gently cleanse the lashes and remove any dirt, oil, or makeup residue.

Avoid Oil-Based Products: Steer clear of oil-based makeup, cleansers, and moisturizers around your eyes, as oil can break down the adhesive.

Be Gentle: When washing your face, avoid rubbing your eyes or using cotton pads on your lashes. Instead, use a clean towel to gently pat your face dry.

Brush Them Out: Use a clean spoolie brush to gently comb through your lashes daily, especially after they get wet, to keep them looking neat and aligned.

What to Avoid

Heat and Steam: Limit exposure to high heat, such as from blow dryers or steam, as it can weaken the bond and cause premature lash shedding.

Mascara:If you choose to wear mascara, opt for one that is specifically designed for lash extensions. However, avoid using waterproof mascara, as it can be difficult to remove and may cause your extensions to clump.

Eyelash Curlers: Avoid using mechanical eyelash curlers, as they can damage both your natural lashes and extensions. Your extensions should provide enough curl on their own.

Sleeping Tips:

Sleep on Your Back: Try to sleep on your back to prevent your lashes from being pressed against your pillow, which can cause them to bend or shed prematurely.

Silk Pillowcase: Consider using a silk pillowcase, which creates less friction and helps protect your lashes.

Refills

Regular Touch-Ups: Schedule lash refill appointments every 2-3 weeks to maintain the fullness and look of your extensions. Regular touch-ups will replace any lashes that have naturally shed.
